My Style Rules...Part 3

Accessorising is by far the best way to dress up a casual outfit. If I had to choose just one accessory it would most definitely be a statement ring! I wear one with everything! I like to add mine to a low key look for an unexpected twist to an otherwise plain outfit. In my opinion Jeans + Tee + statement ring = effortless style. I don't often wear 'pretty' rings, I like to opt for something a little more daring. I'm currently alternating between cute little sunglasses & a zebra :) Remember, one statement ring at a time ladies & as a rule of thumb (no pun intended) if I'm wearing a ring on my right hand, I like to keep that wrist bare so all the attention is on my big beautiful ring! They look great with contrasting nail polish also & stone versions are great for adding an extra pop of colour. Here are some of my current faves, the YSL arty ring has been around for a long time now yet everytime I see one my heart stops just a little ;) Here are a few others I'm currently coveting... xXx

Fashion as Decor...

As I've mentioned before, I have a very small bedroom with the tiniest little corner wardrobe . Most of my clothes are stored in drawers in my hallway & my shoe collection under my bed. I have some great pieces but they are all hidden away so become forgotten & under appreciated. While browsing The Coveteur & admiring all the wonderfully styled photographs, I got to thinking, fashion as decor?

Do you have any items from your closet on display?

I ❤ Kate Spade...

Seriously, can Kate Spade do no wrong?! I absolutely LOVE everything about this amazing New York brand. As if they didn't have enough covetable accessories already, they've gone & added a range of super stylish watches to the list. Each one is inspired by New York & come in a multitude of colours. My favourite is the Carousel watch, a simple stylish bangle in beautiful bright colours, I want them all! The best part? The sweet little inscriptions inside - 'A Place in the Sun', 'Tickled Pink', 'A Walk in the Park'... too cute!

If you want something more classic then there is the Gramercy, a lovely large face with a chunky gold bracelet. For more casual days, how about the Cooper, a rectangular face with a narrow leather strap, available in a choice of colours. Check out the website for the full collection, there is also the Parsons, Delacorte, Metro, Seaport or Waldorf.

Quick Pic...

Loving the pastel trend for Spring so thought I would get a head start & begin with my nails. Love them but looking at them REALLY gives me a craving for ice-cream! Yum!

My Apartment - Bedroom Love...

Don't you just LOVE polyvore?! It's my new addiction (I have about a million by now). I find it so relaxing to sit with my laptop, watching TV & creating some fun collages. I thought I would put my new favourite website to good use & come up with a plan for my bedroom. So far my apartment is very monochromatic so I figured the bedroom would be the ideal room to introduce some much needed colour & when better than in time for Spring?!

I have a gorgeous white faux leather bed with a chic chunky quilted headboard from Dwell so this undoubtedly will be the centrepiece. My bedroom is VERY small so I have to be particularly thoughtful when choosing furniture. I am in two minds if I want to add some walnut for an earthy vibe or go with white gloss for a contemporary look. I would absolutely adore a mirrored dressing table but unfortunately space just does not allow. Nonetheless, I created two looks which more or less illustrate what I'm thinking for the space... hope you like, I'd love to hear which look you prefer :) x

Design Darling {The Boutique}

One of my favourite bloggers, Mackenzie Horan from Design Darling has just launched her online boutique and I must tell you, it is fabulous! I have been a fan of  Mackenzie's blog for quite some time now so was thrilled when she announced the launch of her very own online shopping destination. Design Darling {the boutique} carries a tightly curated selection of home & fashion accessories - think statement clutches, preppy pillows, ever so handy lacquer trays plus much more! My favourite thing about the store is all the lovely colours, no sign of boring beige here! How about these beauties below?? Those earrings! That bracelet!

Check out the boutique for yourself & if you don't already - pop over to see all the loveliness Mackenzie is treating us to on her blog - Design Darling.

I am lusting after the gold Lindsey bracelet, what is your favourite piece?

What I bought... February 2012

Oh, what a month February was! I welcomed a new addition to my little family - my adorable baby bunny Stella (after Stella McCartney of course!) I had a week off my day job to explore London & buy some little accessories for my home, I exceeded 800 fans on facebook & my blog received more visitors than ever! A massive thank you to everyone who stops by from time to time, I hope to bring you many more of my little inspirations & projects in the future!

March is set to be even better than February as I'm finally decorating my teeny tiny bedroom, launching new products in the shop & spending some much needed time with friends from home. Anyways, happy weekend everyone, here are some of the lovely things I treated to myself this past month! :) xXx

I just love my H&M hot pink blazer - it really does go with everything & puts me in the best mood - I get loads of compliments everytime I wear it! My man bought me the Dwell chandelier candle a while ago & ever since I've been coveting the diamante skull version. I can't decide where I like it best, it just looks great everywhere plus it smells great too! I spotted the Zara flats on fashion blogger Sincerely Jules & had to have them so rushed out to buy them - no surprise they were sold out in quite a few stores, so happy I scored myself a pair! :)

What little luxuries did you treat yourself to this month?

Store Spotlight... Zara Home

Yesterday I took a trip into Central London to visit some of my favourite home stores including Dwell, Anthropologie and Heals, not to mention Zara Home. This was my first visit to both Anthropologie & Zara Home. I've seen items from Anthropologie all over the web but never knew until a few days ago there was a store on my doorstep so I couldn't resit picking up a few ikat bowls for my bedside table (perfect for holding recently worn jewels!). I fell instantly in love with Zara Home, they had just the right mix of vintage & contemporary styles. I really had to restrain myself as I could have gone wild in there - preppy brights anyone?! My favourite pieces were bright pink & yellow ikat cushions, a perspex & lace tray, snakeskin coasters & countless pieces of colourful kitchenware. Here are some images of their fab new collections for your viewing pleasure :)

Are you as in love with this collection as I am?
